40 students took part in a workshop of Grand Mufti’s Office in the capital

40 Muslim women in total, students at universities in Sofia, Plovdiv and Blagoevgrad, took part in the annual workshop for students, organized by “Irshad” Department of Grand Mufti’s Office. This year the event aimed at girls, was held on February 15, 16 and 17 in the capital and was on the topic “Challenges to the Muslim Youth to Assert their Islamic Affiliation“.

The girls had the opportunity to listen lectures of the speakers Gyulgyun Gaygadzhova, Nazmie Arifova, Nurdzhan Sadak, Mustafa Izbishtali, Halil Hodzhov and Dr. Sefer Hasanov. They covered various current topics, related to the Muslim youth in modern life and especially the Muslim woman today. 

Among the topics of the held lectures were those about the belief in Allah and its reflection on the behavior of the Muslim woman, “The Personality of the Muslim Woman”, “Relations between Muslims and Non-Muslims”, “Asserting the Islamic Affiliation in 21 century” and others.

The program of the 3-day workshop for students included also film projection and discussions on various topics.

“Irshad” Department at Grand Mufti’s Office is also preparing a second workshop on the same topic; this time aimed at students boys. It will take place in the capital on March 15, 16 and 17 this year.
