Program for women in the town of Haskovo took place at the initiative of the Qur’an courses

On December 9, 2018, from 10:00 o’clock in Charshi Mosque in the town of Haskovo took place a program, organized by the local Qur’an courses. The event was organized by the teachers in the courses in Hisariya quarter and Kamenni quarter.

The opening was made by reading of the Holy Qur’an by a student from the Qur’an course in Hisariya quarter Hasan Hasan, then continued with a lecture on “The Place of Mosque in Muslims’ life” delivered by Gyulgyun Gaygadzhova – head of the Qur’an course in Hisariya quarter. Through this lecture she reminded the guests about mosques are not only for Friday prayers and a place for performing Eid prayers. The mosque is one of the places where we can be spiritually closer to Allah.

After the lecture the program continued with a short play, presented by the students form the Qur’an courses the aim of which was to show how parents lost themselves in their busy everyday life and forget to pay attention to their children.

The event was enriched by performances of ilyahi (religious songs) for kids which attracted great interest in the guests and a recitation about the Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (pbuh). With this was reminded that Muslims actually have to be more united.

After this the students from the Qur’an courses from Hisariya quarter and Kamenni quarter recited by heart chapters from the Holy Qur’an. the program continued with a short lecture of Meliha Chitakova, who recalled us how important it is to follow the steps of the Prophet Muhammed in the upbringing of the children and the real success of one parent is to guide his child not only for the preparation for the earthly life, but also for the Ahirah.

The program was closed with a small quiz with questions to the guests where for those who gave the right answers there were prepared gifts from the Regional Mufti’s Office in Haskovo is.

Parallel to the program there was organized and held a charity bazaar by a group of women also attending the lectures. The raised amount of money in the bazaar is 300 BGN and will be used for supporting the Qur’an courses in the town of Haskovo.
