Iftars for about 200 people are given every evening during the holy month of Ramadan in the yard of the mosque Sherif Halil Pasha in the city of Shumen.

Sponsors for the iftars are businessmen from Shumen and from the Republic of Turkey. Before each iftar a program including reading the Qur’an and performance of ilyahi by the imams of the mosque is organized.
