Grand Mufti received the Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Denominations in the 43^rd NA

The Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi received Krasimir Velchev, the Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Denominations and Human Rights in the 43^rd NA in the Grand Mufti’s Office. The Chairperson was accompanied by his deputies Vasil Antonov and Tuncher Kardzhaliev.

“What happened in France is another proof that religion must not be used for political purposes. Politics and religion should help for uniting the nations without permitting the interfering into the two fields”, said the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi during his meeting with Krasimir Velchev, Chairperson of the Committee on Religious Denominations and Human Rights in the 43^rd NA.

According to the religious leader the last barbarous terrorist act and the reactions which followed it shows that the Muslims have not managed to present on a sufficient level the Islamic religion and its moral and values foundations to the general society.

“Religion does not have boundaries, the main moment in it is love. We do need to find a common language in order to unite people and we think that our visit today is a proper beginning”, said the Chairperson of the parliamentary committee Krasimir Velchev.

According to him not hatred but love is the guiding factor in life and we should direct joint efforts in this direction.

The Grand Mufti presented the priorities of the institution and informed his guests about the essence and the necessity of the implementation of the project for Islamic Cultural and Educational Center in Sofia.
