Yeşilay – Bulgaria organizes workshop meeting on “Technology Addiction” in Plovdiv

A workshop meeting on “Technology Addiction” will take place on November 13 (Tuesday) 2018 at 18:00 o’clock in “Trakart” Cultural Center, underpass “Archaeological” in the city of Plovdiv.

The event is organized by the Bulgarian representation of the Turkish organization Yeşilay and a guest lecturer especially for the occasion will be Melike Şimşek from the Republic of Turkey, who is a clinical psychologist and a Chairperson of the YEDAM Consultancy Center at the Yeşilay- Turkey. Şimşek will be accompanied by Dr. Emine Ahmetoğlu - – Board Member of the Turkish organization Yeşilay.

“After welcoming the guests from Turkey on Tuesday there will be a friendly meeting with representatives of the different religious and ethnic communities in the city of Plovdiv” – shared for Grandmufti.bg the Chairman of Yeşilay – Bulgaria Ahmed Pehlivan. – “We expect the evening workshop on “Technology Addiction” to be attended by a number of official guests, who we had invited, including also representatives of the local authorities.” – further added Ahmed Pehlivan.

Yeşilay Organization (translated from Turkish – “Green Crescent“) was founded in the distant 1920 and this makes it one of the first public organizations in the Republic of Turkey. Today it has representations in more than 40 countries round the world, and since 2015 it has a representation in Bulgaria as well.

The activities of the Yeşilay Organization is focused in the field of organization and carrying out of various events – consultations, workshops, conferences, etc., related to the various forms of addictions and nowadays – to cigarettes, alcohol, drugs and gambling, as well as a number of “modern” forms of abuse and addictions – to technologies, internet, etc.

The aim of the organization is to promote and counteract these significant social diseases among the modern society, by working with addicted patients and their friends and family and help them to overcome their vices and successfully to reintegrate in the society. In this field the organization develops its publishing activity as well, also by cooperating with a number of similar organizations in Turkey and all over the world.

After the meeting on November 13 in Plovdiv, a lecture on the same topic will be also held in Sofia on November 14.
