Grand Mufti’s Office held a workshop for teachers in the Republic of Turkey
A workshop for nearly 50 teachers from the three Bulgarian religious schools in the cities of Shumen, Momchilgrad and Ruse and for the teachers in “Islamic religion” in the state’s schools was held within the period from May 4 – 7, 2018 in the city of Istanbul, Republic of Turkey. It was organized by Educational Department at Grand Mufti’s Office in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey.
The workshop was also attended by the directors of the three religious schools in Bulgaria Hyusein Chitak, Ahmed Bozov, Sherif Hyusnyu and the Head of the Educational Department at Grand Mufti’s Office Hyusein Karamolla. Lecturers during the workshop were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ömer Miraç Yaman, Vele Karataş, Abdullah Açık, Abdulhalik Baş, Murat Büyük, Ayşe Ak, Muhammed Yılmaz, Ahmet Gündüz, and the lectures delivered by them were related to the teaching methodologies for the religious subjects, approach towards the students, teaching the Holy Qur’an, edutainment and others.
Within the workshop there was also held a meeting with the heads of the three religious schools with regard to a twinning project for the religious schools in Bulgaria with similar schools in Turkey, which is a wonderful opportunity for exchange of expertise. There was also organized an excursion for the participants in the workshop during which they visited cultural and religious sights in the city of Istanbul.
