The new management of the historical mosque “Yedikazlar” visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali 

      On January 29, 2018 the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed welcomed for a meeting in his office the newly appointed representatives of Muslim Board of Trustees – village of Podkova. They were accompanied by the imam of the “Yedikazlar” mosque Hyusein Halibryam. The aim of the visit was both to get to know each other and to comment on problems related to the religious life in the village of Podkova.

    The Mufti informed his guests about the main obligations and responsibilities of the representatives of the Muslim Board of Trustees according to the Statute of the Muslim Denomination.

     The mosque “Yedikazlar” is one of the most important and most visited mosques on the territory of Regional Mufti’s Office – Kardzhali. The prayer house is visited daily both from tourists and worshipers. Besides that the Muslim temple is open for worshipping, it is also a monument of national and international significance.

      Every year on May 6, in the mosque of Pokova is organized a traditional mawlid where thousands of Muslims from entire Bulgaria come. There also come guests from neighboring Turkey and Greece.
