MUSA DURLU – THE MAN WITH THE BEST INHERITANCE…

Musa Durlu was born in a family of obedient Muslims in the village of Bel kamen, Blagoevgrad region. During his youth after the fall of communism he chose to study Islamic science and went to the city of Medina where he studied the religion of Allah – Islam. From the moment of his graduation till nowadays he is in the ranks of the Muslim preachers in Bulgaria.

Together with his wife they brought up five children: Esma, Ismail, Sumeya, Muhammad and Ali, of whom Sumeya, Muhammad and Ali are currently students in the Religious school – Momchilgrad, and Esma and Ismail graduated the same school after which Muhammad continued studying in the High Islamic Institute in Sofia.

For Musa Durlu’s nomination for the annual award Halil Hodzhov shares: “Musa Durlu is nominated for being an example that could be a model to be followed by the Muslims in terms of the importance of the Islamic upbringing and education. Musa Durlu is a very bright example that is not from the distant past, he is an example that can be seen.”

The family of Musa Durlu is a traditional Muslim family, in which they adhere to the Islamic principles. Musa Durlu himself comes from one environment which is Muslim religious environment; his wife is also a daughter of hodzha (master), a granddaughter of hodzha. This is something which is also a good example because we know that the good doctors for example come from families of doctors, it is the same in every field.

The children of MusaDurlu could study elsewhere, but the environment in which they live and with parents like Musa hodzha and his wife has influenced them to continue their secondary education in the Religious School in Momchilgrad. I.e. their parents have influenced them being a great example for their children. As it is said in the hadith: “The best thing which a parent can leave as inheritance, is the good upbringing”.

Musa Durlu is a modest person, but he also is very serious – first as a person and second - as a Muslim. He is not compromising with himself or with faith. He is a very good example for self-sacrifice and devotion. Although his family is very big and he has to take care of them he finds solutions for everything, he does not complain for example that salaries are low. He finds ways to supports his family and his work which is related to da’wah (inviting to Islam) is also going on.

Musa hodzha is known for his seriousness and among his friends with his sense of humor. He is a very conversableperson. He has a very giving spirit. He accepts others with open arms. He is cheerful. He is a character that is also ready to help. He is what he is. It is very pleasant to travel with him.

And as a father “He is very straightforward with his children. I think that he is not hiding from them something that on the day tomorrow could appear as problems for them. He stands out for this, for being an educator most of all”, shares the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov.
