Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi visited the President of the “Diyanet” Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş

The President of the “Diyanet” prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş held personal meetings with the Chairman of the Islamic Union of Macedonia Suleyman Efendi Recebi, the Grand Mufti of Romania Murat Yusuf and the Grand Mufti of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Alish Hadzhi. The guests visited Erbaş on the occasion of his appointment and they greeted him about this.

Within the meeting Dr. Ali Erbaş highlighted the importance of the Balkans to Turkey and said: “We are living together in the Balkans for centuries, we are people that speak the same language, profess the same religion, share the same culture. There is no boundary between our hearts. The Balkans for us have a certain importance. Our historical relations, as they have been so far, will continue to be the same also in the future”.

The President of the “Diyanet” Dr. Ali Erbaş also said that as a Directorate on Religious Affairs the relations between the “Diyanet” and the Balkan countries are very strong and in the future they will continue to develop mainly in the following fields: religious education, religious publishing and in all other fields related to the religious denominations.
