Thousands of Muslims came together for the festive Ramadan program “Awaiting the iftar” in Sarnitsa

Despite of the cold and rainy weather nearly 2000 people from Sarnitsa and the neighboring settlements came together in order to see the visiting Ramadan program “Awaiting the iftar”. The program in the town in the Rhodopes took place on 18^th of June in the square of the town.

Among the official guest of the festive Ramadan program were the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih and the local imams. Besides the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Myumyun as a presenter of the program, it was also attended by the official guests. They delivered their greetings to the participants and addressed current Ramadan topics – about the physical and the spiritual dimensions of fasting, humbleness, respecting the elderly and the parents, etc.

In the program also took part participants from the Qur’an course in the town of Sarnitsa. They performed religious songs – ilyahi, made salawat, recited poem and presented cautionary stories.

The program was musically enriched by the performances of ilyahi from Nihat Ademov from “Vest” band.

“Awaiting the iftar” ended with the coming of the time for the evening prayer. Then all guests were invited for iftar at the square of the town.

Sarnitsa was also the last stop of this year’s travelling Ramadan program “Awaiting the iftar”.
