About the Regional Mufti’s Office – Stara Zagora and the nice Ramadan atmosphere in the city

From the beginning till the end of this year’s month of Ramadan Regional Mufti’s Office – Stara Zagora with the support of the local Muslims every evening provide iftar which is attended by about one hundred people. In addition to this several years the Muslim Board of Trustees in the city provides also food for suhur for about seventy people.

After every traditional Ramadan dinner the Regional Mufti of Stara Zagora Turhan Hasan and the guest-imam from the Republic of Turkey Bilal Bair hold discussions and give interpretations of the Holy Qur’an.

This year during the month of Ramadan the iftar were attended also by official guests, such as the Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council Vedat Ahmed, the Social Affairs Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in the city of Plovdiv Metin Akbaş, the Mufti of the city of Edirne in Turkey Emrullah Üzüm

All guests of Regional Mufti’s Office – Stara Zagora and the local Muslims remain very pleased because the iftars are held outdoor and this is one of the reasons to create much more pleasant festive atmosphere in the city.
