Regional Mufti’s Office – Pazardzhik held a meeting with imams

Regional Mufti’s Office – Pazardzhik held a meeting with the imams from the region on 23rd of November (Sunday) from 10:00 o’clock in the mosque of Velingrad. The meeting was attended by the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the Head of “Irshad” Department Halil Hodzhov, as well as by the preachers at the regional mufti’s office Ferhat Sali and Musa Durlu.
The meeting began with recitation of the Qur’an by the imam of the village of Draginovo Muhammed Hadzhi. After thanking about the wonderful recitation the Regional Mufti of Pazardzhik Abdullah Salih informed the participants about the agenda, which included discussion regarding the campaign “Orphan’s week”, the subscription for “Muslims” magazine for year 2015, recruiting of participants in the course “Tashih-i huruf” in the town of Momchilgrad and for the course for preparation of imams in the village of Ustina.

After that the floor was given to the Grand Mufti who reminded about the huge responsibility which each imam bears for his settlement. Halil Hodzhov joined the discussion and emphasized that everyone should improve his professional skills. Beside this he gave some clarifications to the imams regarding the things which the Grand Mufti’s Office is considering to establish in year 2015. After the end of the meeting each of the imams was individually tested in Qur’an by Halil Hodzhov.
