The Night of Mir’aj was celebrated in the central mosque of Kardzhali

       Regional Mufti’ Office – Kardzhali with the kind assistance of the municipality of Osmangazi in Bursa and of the Muslim Board of Trustees – Kardzhali, organized a festive event on the occasion of the sacred Night of Mir’aj on 23^rd of April after the evening prayer in the central mosque in the town of Kardzhali. The Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Mr. Beyhan Mehmed opened the program with a welcoming speech in front of nearly 1000 people from the town and the surroundings.

        Official guests of the event were the Grand Mufti of the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, two of the deputy mayors of the Municipality of Osmangazi Mr. Cem Hasanoğlu and Mr. Yunus Şahin, and the Regional Mufti of Haskovo Mr. Basri Einefendi. The event was also attended by the deputy muftis of Krumovgrad and Ardino as well as many clergymen from the region. In his speech the Grand Mufti Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi stressed on the importance and the meaning of the sacred Night of Mir’aj in the Islamic religion and used the occasion to greet all Muslims from the region on the occasion of the blessed night.

     Welcoming speeches were also delivered by the kind guests from the Municipality of Osmangazi. The program included performances of ilyahi, reading of Qur’an and mawlid by famous reciters from the region of Bursa and our imams.

        The program was broadcasted live on the TV channel “Olay”. The event ended with a dua (supplication) made by the Grand Mufti of the Republic, after which all participants were regaled.
