Grand Mufti visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Haskovo

On 6^th and 7^th of April, the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in the Republic of Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi was on a working visit at Regional Mufti’s Office- Haskovo. During the first day of his visit the Grand Mufti took part in the meeting organized by the Regional Mufti of Haskovo Basri Eminefendi, which took place in the meeting hall of the mufti’s office. For the meeting were invited local businessmen, representatives of Muslim boards of trustees and imams. In front all of them the Grand Mufti presented the main activities of the Muslim Denomination and the challenges which the institution faces in their implementation. During the raised discussion were discussed a number of topical issues and questions related to the Muslim community both on a local and on a national level.

On 7^th of April the Grand Mufti visited Charshi mosque in Haskovo where he gave counsels to the Muslims during the Friday khutbah.

In the framework of his visit in Haskovo the Grand Mufti received as a gift from the Regional Mufti a model of the historical Old (Eski) mosque which is located in the city center and is one of the oldest functioning mosques in Bulgaria.
