Representatives of Grand Mufti’s Office took part in workshop of Trakya University in Edirne

A workshop on “Status of Turkish nation in the field of press, religion and education” was organized by the Balkan Research Institute at Trakya University in Edirne. The event took place on 11^th of March. Participants in it were representatives of different Bulgarian educational institutions, of the Muslim denomination in Bulgaria and others.

Grand Mufti’s Office was represented by Hyusein Karamolla – Head of the Department of Education, the Secretary General of the Mufti’s Office Dzhelyal Faik and Hayri Emin – expert at International Department.

In the framework of the workshop Karamolla informed the other participants in it about the Islamic religious education in Bulgaria – the secondary religious schools and the High Islamic Institute.

The Secretary Dzhelyal Faik presented the problems related to the waqf property and the expert Hayri Emin made a presentation to the participants in the workshop about the problems of the religious hatred which the representatives of the Muslim community in our country face.

Besides representatives of Bulgaria in the workshop also took part students on Balkan Studies from the hosting university, as well as prominent and eminent immigrants from Bulgaria who actively participate in the public life of Turkey.
