Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad held a meeting with imams from the region

A regular meeting with imams from the region was organized by the Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad on 20th of November in the mosque “Ahmed Bey” in the city.
The meeting began with recitation of verses from the Qur’an-i Kerim, after which the Regional Mufti Mehmed Alya held a welcoming speech and informed the participants about the agenda.
Guest of the meeting was Halil Hodzhov, Head of “Irshad” Department at the Grand Mufti’s Office, Sofia, who conveyed in his speech greetings to the participants on behalf of the Grand Mufti of the Muslims in Bulgaria Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi and gave an explanation on the aim of the gathering.
During the meeting an analysis of the activity of the imams based on the prepared by them monthly reports was made and the subscription campaign for “Muslims” magazine for year 2015 was discussed, as well as the “Orphan’s week”, which the Grand Mufti’s Office announced that will take place between 23rd and 30th of November. In connection with the upcoming social campaign all imams were given promotion materials – brochures, posters, as well as khutbas (sermons), prepared by the Grand Mufti’s Office. The issues related to the dissemination of religious literature, issued by the Grand Mufti’s Office, recruiting of students and participants in courses in the schools in the village of Ustina and “Tashih-i huruf” in the town of Momchilgrad were also discussed. After the preliminary submitted written proposals from the imams for imam of Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad for year 2014 was awarded Yudzhel Hayreddin with nine nominations. He received specially prepared plaque, which was presented to him by Halil Hodzhov.
After the end of the meeting each of the participating imams passed a kind of individual exam in Qur’an before a three-member committee with a chairman Halil Hodzhov.
The meeting ended with a dua (supplication) for prosperity and welfare.
