Working meeting with imams from Razgrad region was held

Regional Mufti’s Office – Razgrad held a working meeting with some of the imams from Razgrad region. It took place on 22nd of December, 2016 in the mosque “Ahmed Bey” in the city. The meeting began with a welcoming speech on behalf of the Regional Mufti Mehmed Alya and reading of verses from the Holy Qur’an by Orhan Metin, teacher in the course for imams in the city of Shumen.

During the working meeting were addressed topics related to the launched by the Supreme Muslim Council campaign for collecting donations for the course for imams in the village of Ustina. The participating imams were informed about Decision No. 190 from 27th of July, 2016 of the SMC for organization of a petition to support the Protest Declaration of the SMC against the attempts to restrict the religious freedoms in the Republic of Bulgaria. During the working meeting was discussed the topic related to recruiting candidates for Hajj for year 2017, recruiting participants in the course for imams in the city of Shumen, and the national campaign for raising funds for “Orphan” Fund was analyzed.

At the end of the meeting the Regional Mufti thanked all imams for their efforts and diligence that they do in their daily work. Such working meetings are foreseen to be held in the towns of Kubrat and Isperih.

The meeting ended with a dua (supplication) for prosperity and welfare, made by Shakir Ahmedchikov, imam of the city of Razgrad.
