Day of Ashura was marked in Shumen
On 14th of October, 2016 (Friday) in the mosque Sherif Halil Pasha in Shumen was marked the Day of Ashura. Celebrating this day is related to a very old historical tradition. During the Holy month of Muharram happened very important historical events, but one of the most important for Islam is that one which happened in Karbala. In connection with this in the mosque Sherif Halil Pasha was made a dua for the shuhada (martyrs) at Karbala and for all shuhada who sacrificed their lives for religion, faith, for justice and morality.
After the Friday prayer on the occasion of the Day of Ashura Regional Mufti’s Office – Shumen gave the people ashure.
