Building “bridges” is one of the challenges of our time

On 15^th of August, 2016 in the Capital’s library was opened an exhibition entitled “Different together”.

The exhibition includes a number of photos representing the different ethnic groups and religious communities in Bulgaria.

The exhibition is organized by the Association for cultural interaction – Sofia chaired by Mrs. Emine Bayraktarova. She expressed to the gathered guests her satisfaction with the demonstrated interest, hoping that this will awaken interest to understanding the different.

The works are of the photographer Ognyan Panov. About 50 photos show the color and the richness of the ethnic palette in Bulgaria.

The opening of the exhibition was welcomed by the Deputy Grand Mufti Birali Birali.

“Building bridges is one big challenge in our times, he said and added that: “preservation of own identity in the global real and virtual world is a hard task in front of everyone”. The exhibition is an occasion for reflection and an opportunity to see the other, overcoming the negative prejudices and attitudes.

The exhibition is exposed till 25^th of August, 2016.
