Grand Mufti greets all Muslims for Eid al-Adha

Dear Muslim brothers and sisters,

Dear compatriots,

We are on the eve of Eid al-Adha, the feast which is characterized by sacrifices, which brings people together. It brings them together because the sacrificial animals are an expression of devotion to the Almighty Allah. That is why the qurban is not an end in itself but an expression of obedience and humility to the Glorified and Exalted Allah.

This feast is also characterized by the performance of the holy pilgrimage of Hajj. Some of the Muslims spend the feast on Arafat and Mina praying both for themselves and for their relatives and families, and also for all the people who are in trouble and misfortune. The aim of the believers during this feast is to reach to the prosperity of Allah and to experience His Mercy.

This is the feast which gives hope to the desperate and strength to the weak, but also reminds everyone that the good deeds are in the basis of happiness and progress. Therefore we all should be better to each other and to give a helping hand in the hard moments which we face nowadays.

Let’s turn to the Glorified and Exalted Allah with the supplication to have mercy on us and to guide us so that we can find happiness in this world and in the Hereafter.

Happy Eid al-Adha.
