Turkish Ambassador hosted iftar for 700 people in Blagoevgrad region

The Turkish Ambassador H. E. Süleyman Gökçe together with his advisor Sadık Doğan, the educational issues attaché Şenol Genç and the social affairs attaché Dr. Ulvi Ata visited Regional Mufti’s Office – Blagoevgrad.
During their visit the diplomat was a host of two iftar dinners on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan where in Breznitsa there were more than 500 people and in Kraishte – more than 200.
The Regional Mufti Aydan Mohamed expressed his gratitude to the high-standing guests for their visit and together with public figures from the region they discussed projects in some fields for development and cooperation. The Turkish Ambassador in his turn expressed his great satisfaction with the hospitality and the unique nature which he found in the region.
Besides the chosen for the iftar dinner places the guests visited other places in the region as well, such as the historical site Nicopolis Ad Nestum in the village of Garmen, the historical jewel Karadzha Pasha Mosque in the town of Gotse Delchev (which is a subject of permanent aggression and desecrations) and others.
The Mufti Aydan Mohamed thanked the Muslim Boards of Trustees for the good organization and on behalf of the Muslims from the region he also thanked the guests and made dua (supplication) that Allah accepts the iftar and the supplications of all in the month of Ramadan – the month of the mercy, prosperity and forgiveness.
