A regular meeting of the Supreme Muslim Council was held on August 13, 2020. In order to better comply with the anti-epidemic measures the event took place at the hall of “Ramada” hotel in the capital. At the meeting were specially invited also the regional muftis who are not members of the central collective managing body of the Muslim Denomination.

During the meeting according to the agenda was discussed the financial report of Grand Mufti’s Office for the implementation of the budget of the Muslim Denomination for the first half of the year. Then a preliminary discussion related to the upcoming regular National Muslim Conference, which in normal conditions is expected to be held before January 24, 2021, took place.

The Supreme Muslim Council made several administrative decisions such as changes in the composition of Muslim boards of trustees, renting waqf estates, receiving estates as donations for waqf. There was also decided to establish a mufti’s representation in Asenovgrad and the election of the imam of the town Osman Osman for mufti’s representative.
