New educational strategies for the religious schools

RS “Nyuvvab” in the city of Shumen hosted the workshop for the representatives of the three religious schools in Bulgaria on July 17, 2018. Official guests and lecturers of the workshop, organized by the Department on Education at Grand Mufti’s Office, were Dr. Mustafa Hadzhi, the SMC Chairman Vedat S. Ahmed, Dr. Ulvi Ata – Social Affairs Attaché and Şenol Genç - Educational Affairs Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic Turkey in Sofia, the Deputy Rector of the High Islamic Institute in Sofia Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Dzhanli and the expert at the Department on Education of Grand Mufti’s Office Nazmie Arifova.

During the workshop which was attended by the directors, the teachers and the tutors from the three religious schools were discussed important and current topics related to the schools and the educational activities in them.

At the organized with a motivational purpose workshop, the lecturers paid attention to the issues related to working relationship, teacher - student relations, friendships and frictions between the students, shortcomings in the educational strategies and ways to improve them.

With regard to the workshop, the expert from the Department of Education of Grand Mufti’s Office Nazmie Arifova shared: “Education and the schools are very important to us. In order to achieve better results and continuous development we organize meetings with the teachers and the directors. The main purpose of these meetings is to enhance the motivation, the performance and the team spirit of the staff.”

In connection with this after detailed discussions and comments the representatives of Grand Mufti’s Office, the experts in education, the directors of the schools and the teachers unanimously expressed their readiness to work together in solving problems related to the personal and spiritual development of the students.

          “We found out that due to the many out-of-school courses and after-schoolactivitiesthe students have very little free time. We are looking for a way to solve this problem as well” further said the expert at the Department on Education Nazmie Arifova.

After the workshop the representatives of the three religious schools shared their impressions and their ideas that appeared after the common meeting. Questionnaires were filled out, the results of which will be taken into consideration during the preparation of the new educational strategies for the religious schools for the upcoming school year.
