ERDINCH SYULEYMAN - AN EXAMPLE IN THE FIELD OF THE ISLAMIC EDUCATION

His name is Erdinch Myumin Syuleyman. He is young and very energetic. He works as imam in the village of Benkovski, Kardzhali region. He leads the most numerous summer Qur’an course in the region, in which participate over two hundred children.

He was born in 1989 in the village of Dobromirtsi, Municipality of Kirkovo, Kardzhali region. He received his elementary education in his native village. Then from fifth to eight grade he attends the training course for hafizes in the town of Madan. But he became hafiz with the help and the support of his teachers in Istanbul. After completing his secondary education in the Religious School – Momchilgrad in 2007 he continued his education in the “Marmara” University in the city of Istanbul. He graduated Islamic theology in 2012. From 2012 till nowadays he works as a chief imam in the mosque of Benkovski.

The Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Beyhan Mehmed shares: “We nominated him for the “Hodzhazade Mehmed Muhyiddin effendi” award, because he is one of the exemplary imams in the region. About two years ago he was working as a teacher in Islamic religion in the school of the village of Benkovski. With his efforts the Qur’an course in the village of Benkovski became a central course for hundreds of children from the region. During the summer nearly 200 children from about ten villages with the help of the population travel to Benkovski and attend the Qur’an course in the summer. He is a very social person. He respects adults and children. He often meets with the young people; they play football together, talk. Every week on Thursday he organizes religious talks.”
