PAVEL STOYANOV – THE PERSON WHO OFFERED TO THE MUSLIMS IN BULGARIA HALAL TREATS

Pavel Stoyanov was born on October 23, 1963. He is a manager and an owner, along with his wife Sonya Stoyanova, of “Karmela 2000” Ltd. The company is established in 1998 in the town of Veliko Tarnovo for the production of chocolate and confectioneryproducts.

In year 2018 the company managed by him will complete 20 years. “Karmela 2000” has export-productive oriented character. It is oriented both to the Bulgarian and to the international market especially to the Arab countries.

In 2013 the manager of “Karmela 2000” Ltd decided in addition to the hygienic and taste requirements of his customers to observe also the religious requirements and thus began to certify his production with “Halal”, which is issued by the Muslim Denomination of the Republic of Bulgaria after compliance with the relevant requirements and controls.

The products of “Karmela 2000” are well known Bulgarian products and are the first ones with the “Halal” logo on our market. In favor of the majority who prefer these products Mr. Stoyanov has always been assisting for their promotion on his own. The Muslim Denomination has also been promoting the products because halal is a determining factor in Muslim’s life.

“Karmela 2000” has been offering its products for fifth consecutive year with the “Halal” logo of the Muslim Denomination in the countries Iraq, Libya, Kosovo, Algeria, Ghana, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Yemen.

The employee of Grand Mufti’s Office Beyhan Mehmed who is a member of the Halal Certification Committee says that with this activity and courageous entrepreneurialactions related to supporting Muslims in selection of halal foods, Mr. Stoyanov has contributed a lot for the preservation of the religious requirements in consuming confectionery and chocolate products, which exists in the daily life of every family. Furthermore “Karmela 2000” with its activity has contributed to the development and the understanding of halal in the society because it has always responded to invitations for other events from the Halal Certification Committee.

Pavel Stoyanov is disciplined and insists on discipline a lot. He treats his staff with a great respect. He is organized. He likes gaining experience and knowledge, in his office is surrounded by books. He is a man without preconceptionsand prejudices towards others, including Muslims. He even tries to get to know them closer, to learn more about them and their life. He is open to all people.

He is always full with wish to try new things, to achieve new successes… He is aн innovator. His company was a sponsor and donor in many social initiatives in Veliko Tarnovo and in other settlements in Bulgaria. He sponsored social events and campaigns of the Muslim Denomination.

He is very good as a person, hospitable, disciplined, organized, respecting the people around him, innovator, seeking new opportunities for new projects…
