As until now his year also Grand Mufti’s Office holds preparatory workshops with the candidate-Hajj pilgrims from the country and from neighboring Turkey. The aim of these meetings held as workshops is providing information to the Muslims about the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj as a whole, as well as to clarify details related to this year’s Hajj.

Hajj is ibadah (worshiping) the performance of which is obligatory at least once a life (fard). In surah “Baqarah”, verse 196 Allah commanded: “And complete the Hajj and 'Umrah for Allah…”

On this occasion traditionally “Hajj” Department at Gran Mufti’s Office every year visits the different regions in Bulgaria, as well in Turkey, and provides information to the future Hajj pilgrims about the last preparations for the pilgrimage.

The another one for year 2017 informational workshop meeting was held on 9th of August (Wednesday) in the mosque “Sultan Beyazid Veli” in the town of Atos. It was attended by 25 candidate-Hajj pilgrims from the region in total, who with the permission of Allah will travel from Bulgaria to the Holy places on 20th of August this year (Sunday).

The program began with recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim by Yasin Gün, a representative of the Turkish Religious Affairs Directorate “Diyanet”. After the recitation of the Divine Word, the meeting continued with a welcoming speech on behalf of the Regional Mufti of Aytos Selahattin Muharrem and a prepared multimedia presentation and a talk, led by the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmet Hasan.

Within the meeting were discussed issues related to the improvement of the organization for the performance of Hajj, the performance of the ibadah itself and the possible difficulties and problems that could arise during the travelling and the performance of the Hajj. During the workshop it was emphasized on the importance the candidate-Hajj pilgrims to make a preliminary spiritual and material preparation in order to perform the pilgrimage of Hajj in peace of mind and dedication, which will be a basis for minimizing difficulties and problems within the pilgrimage.
