The newly built mosque in the village of Veslets was officially opened

On 12th of August this year (Saturday) in the village of Veslets, Kardzhali region, was officially opened the newly built mosque of the village.

The program for the opening of the Muslim temple began with recitation of Qur’an-i Kerim by the students from the course for hafizes in the town of Madan. It was followed by performance of ilyahi by “Noor” band from Rudozem.

The Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Behan Mehmed delivered a welcoming speech to all guests of the event and he told in it how the masjed in the village of Veslets was not enough to meet the needs of the Muslims in hat settlement and due to that reason without destroying the old building next to it was constructed the new mosque.

“I wish the newly constructed mosque to become a center of the civilization which will help the local Muslims to reach national and spiritual values. May Allah help so that to gather there a large jammat (congregation) and may He be pleased with those who helped for the construction of the temple!” – further said in his address the Regional Mufti of Kardzhali Behan Mehmed.

Among the official guests of the program were Vedat Ahmet, Chairman of the Supreme Muslim Council, Hyusein Karamolla – expert at the Department of Education at Grand Mufti’s Office, Dzhemal Hatip from the Publishing Department at Grand Mufti’s Office, teachers from the course for hafizes in the town of Madan as well as the Mufti of the Province of Edirne in Turkey Emrullah Üzüm.

After the muezzin of the “Selimiye Mosque” in Edirne recited the call for prayer in the newly built mosque of the village of Veslets, Kardzhali region, hundreds of Muslims gathered and performed the first for the mosque noon prayer in congregation.
