Night of Mir’aj was officially marked in “Muradie” mosque in Plovdiv

 

Regional Mufti’s Office – Plovdiv in cooperation with Muslim Board of Trustees – Plovdiv organized a festive event on the occasion of the Night of Mir’aj. It took place on 23rd of April this year after the Maghrib prayer in “Muradie” mosque in Plovdiv.

Official guests of the event were the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov, Aydan Yumerov – lecturer at the High Islamic Institute (HII), Neşat Taşkan and Kyamil Demir – guest-imams from the Republic of Turkey, as well as students from HII. The event was also attended by participants in the training course in the village of Ustina.

The Regional Mufti of Plovdiv opened the program with a welcoming speech.

In his speech the Deputy Grand Mufti Ahmed Hasanov focused on the meaning and the importance of the Night of Mir’aj in the Islamic religion and used the occasion to greet all Muslims from the region for the blessed night.

Welcoming speeches were also delivered by the kind guests of the program from the Municipality of Osmangazi in Turkey.

The event also included performances of ilyahi, recitation of the Qur’an and a vaaz (sermon). The celebration ended with a dua (supplication) made by the guest-imam Neşat Taşkan.
